The Great Balloon Experiment!

A few of the balloons escaped a bit early from their tent, and we were still dealing with the continual popping, but after about two hours and 1,200 balloons, we were ready. The balloons were moved from their various storage locations into the balloon tent, which was a pretty cool thing when it was full of 1,000 balloons. A few of us ran around in there and said farewell to our new balloon friends.

The lauch was simply incredible. Photos can not do it justice. It was a giant mass of balloons floating away and out of reach, much like my dreams of ever being a competitive eater. But, what seemed like the end, was only the begining...

During the event, everyone in attendance participated in a pool of sorts, with 7 catagories ranging from Total number of Balloons found, to Longest Overall Flight.

In a matter of mintues after the release, we started to get responses from those who had found our balloons in a variety of places. The responses are still coming in and I'm starting to think that I've ensured receiving email for the rest of the century.

The one thing I regret not doing is getting a group picture of everone who was there. Many of us were in attendance at the Del Taco Adventure, but for some, this was their first exposure to a Magic Goat event. A huge thanks to all my friends for participating, namely:

Betsy, Brad, Caitlin, Corinne, Dave, Debbie, Erik, Jill, Josh, Kathryn, Lisa, Matt, Nancy, Paul, Ray, Ryan, and Zach.
